Online ordering is fast and cost
efficient. Phone calls are usually neither! We are a 100% Internet
Based business. To select plants, customers have to be on the
Internet to even look at them. It seems logical to us for the
customer to simply place the item in their shopping cart while they're
looking at. If you're concerned about security, remember, you can
always mail a check as payment. When orders come in over the Internet, we
simply process and print them, put them in a plastic work sleeve and we're set to
go. It would be much more costly for us (and ultimately, for
customers) to accept phone orders. We think that if we had a printed
catalogue, there might be a need for phone orders but since you can't really
shop for our plants unless you're on the Internet, the orders might as well be
placed there -- on the Internet.
Furthermore for your security, we do not see or
download your credit card information. It is never in our office.
With credit card fraud so much on people's mind, we KNOW that Intuit
Quickbooks Merchant Services, who processes credit cards for us, can provide
FAR more comprehensive security than any small company ever could.
Even when we issue a refund, we simply reference the transaction number to
have a refund issued, not your credit card information.
So for that reason, we simply can't take Phone
Order (or orders by E-Mail or Regular Mail) because we don't have nor ever
want access to your credit card. We
appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
